In this presentation, Dr. Ganna Lyashenko, Senior Associate Editor at “Angewandte Chemie” and “Chemistry – A European Journal” opens the black box of publishing. She'll cover the best practices to get one's paper reviewed and published, the editorial thought process, and some concrete tips for optimizing manuscripts (cover letter, abstract, and language).

Participants will also get the chance to interact with the editor in a Q&A session after the presentation.

About our speaker:

Ganna Lyashenko is a Senior Associate Editor at Wiley with a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, Austria. Subsequently, she undertook postdoctoral research at the University of California in Riverside, and joined the publishers in August 2011. Ganna combines scientific expertise with a strong background in digital publishing and content strategy. She consults global research teams, leads editorial initiatives, and organizes events, such as the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast and multilingual publishing workshops. She is the author of nine peer-reviewed research papers in high-impact chemical journals.
