The Central Library of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava provides comprehensive support for research, science and all forms of study at the university.
Students, teaching staff and researchers can benefit from, among other things:
- 3 library locations – the Library and Study Room on the Poruba Campus, the Faculty of Safety Engineering and the Faculty of Civil Engineering;
- access to electronic information resources (e.g. EBSCO, Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Wiley, etc.);
- more than 380,000 library items, one third of which are available in the open stacks;
- 266 serial publications (newspapers, professional and academic journals, etc.);
- 1,200 e-book titles;
- 2 computer study rooms equipped with PCs and data projectors;
- 2 individual study rooms with 2 study spaces each, providing a quiet and undisturbed environment for studying;
- the option to print, copy and scan;
- spaces for studying, working and relaxing.
