Bibliographic Databases

The library provides access to electronic databases which contain references to journal (and proceedings) articles on specific subjects. It is easier and more efficient to use this sort of database than to look through the contents pages and indexes of individual journals. The databases can be searched quickly by subject or keyword. The results of your search will either provide the full text of journal articles (EBSCO, ProQuest) or will refer you to articles in specific journals; a number of the journals may be directly accessed through the Central Library participation in consortia. You can than also search for the journal titles on the library catalogue external link providing information about print journals subscribed by the Central Library. For more information, ask a librarian external link.
